Owners and Principal dentists, if you knowingly allow associates to work in your practices with membership of organisations that offer discretionary indemnity then you knowingly accept the risk.
The first question the GDC, in their Guidance on professional indemnity and insurance cover, suggest dentists ask of indemnifiers is;
‘Will this product ensure that I can meet any liabilities to patients following a successful claim?’
